How we Function

How Our Church Functions…

We build the model and ministry of our church on the foundation of God’s Word — Ephesians 4:11–16:

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…”

This passage reveals several important principles for the life and ministry of the church:

  • The primary role of church leaders is to help the church grow and be strengthened spiritually.
  • The church is built up when every member actively participates in ministry.
  • One of the main responsibilities of leaders is to equip and encourage believers for practical service to God and to people.

This includes:

  • spiritual growth and strengthening of every believer;
  • a deeper knowledge of Jesus Christ;
  • developing Christlike character;
  • spiritual maturity and steadfastness in faith;
  • love and care for people;
  • speaking the truth in love;
  • devotion and faithfulness to Christ;
  • gaining practical experience in ministry.

We believe that building the church is not only the responsibility of pastors or ministry leaders.

It is the shared work of the whole church, where every person is valuable and needed.

Core Principles of Our Church…

I. WE WORSHIP A SOVEREIGN GOD

Our God is the sovereign Ruler of heaven and earth, and no one can tell Him how He should act.

We believe that God alone has the power to truly transform a person. Humbling ourselves before the great and mighty God is the only right starting point for genuine spiritual growth.

Therefore, we believe that a God-centered life — one built on practical surrender and reverence before the absolute, sovereign, and all-powerful God — is the only true and effective foundation for salvation and spiritual maturity.

II. WE STAND ON THE AUTHORITY OF GOD’S WORD

We believe that the Scriptures are written clearly. Within them, the fundamental principles concerning salvation and the Christian life are set forth with clarity, and their meaning is clearly defined.
Matters of truth and life—both for the individual church member and for the ministry—are established solely upon the principles of Holy Scripture, which serves as the supreme authority.
Holy Scripture, in its historical-grammatical form, provides sufficient and objective information to fully reveal God’s revelation regarding every sphere of life.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." — 2 Timothy 3:16–17

We believe that the gracious Word is both necessary and sufficient:

  • for the new birth (James 1:18)
  • for spiritual growth (1 Peter 2:1–2)
  • for sanctification (John 17:17)
  • for true freedom (John 8:32)
  • for preparation for ministry (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
  • for the organization and life of the church (1 Timothy 3:15)

III. UNCOMPROMISED, CLEAR, AND AUTHORITATIVE PREACHING OF GOD’S WORD

Because of the vital importance of Scripture, we do everything possible to ensure that the Word of God is preached in our church faithfully, clearly, and with authority.

Throughout both the Old and New Testaments, God repeatedly warns about the danger of distorting His Word:

“But he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully… Is not My word like fire, says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?”
— Jeremiah 23:28–29

The Apostle Paul especially emphasizes that in the last days people will no longer love the truth. For this reason, many preachers will be tempted to proclaim messages that are more pleasing to people.

«I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.»
2 Tim. 4:1–4

This defines the role of preaching and our attitude toward it in our church. It is the reason why our church practices a ministry in which biblical preaching holds the central place.
